The Mole, Talpa europaea, is silver grey to black in colour, has small ears with no external flaps, very small eyes hidden in the fur. They mate once per year and have 2-7 pups per litter, they reach maturity in approx 5 weeks and have an average life span of 3 years.

They are extremely territorial, any scent left by humans on a trap can be detrimental to the treatment, traps should be weathered prior to use.

They are not used to make Mole Skin trousers.

We prefer trapping, this might take a little longer but we believe it would be more humane to have an instant dispatch rather than poisoning or gassing, although the latter is a guaranteed treatment, but can not be undertaken where other animals can gain access to treated area within 48hrs,

We will not undertake gassing if heavy mist, raining or windy conditions, as the potential effects are irreversable, and my Wife would go mad if I did not come home one day
