Bed Bugs, flat oval insect, adults grow to approx 5mm, red-brown colour, but goes purple colour when fed, Man is its principle food source, they can live for MANY months (up to 2 years) without feeding.

How do we prevent:-

When you go to a hotel,

Where do you first put your Suitcase/Bag ?

Where is your Coat thrown ?

What do you fall back onto and sigh after all that travelling ?

THE BED, thats where the BED BUG live's,  so pull back the sheets Like Doc Martin on the TV show, and inspect the matress for dark/blood spot marks on the seams of the bed, if they are there! I would stay elsewhere, even if they bring a fresh mattress, they would proberbly be in the frame of the bed, in the head board, in the cupboard/wardrobe where you will hang your clothing.

Once again its nothing personal, domestic circumstances, in our opinion, it is NOT, normally a sign of an unkept house hold, they just like to travel from place to place, and will latch on to who ever is around, think of them as mini holiday makers who dont know when to go home...................................

Treatment is very intense and can mean rooms above, below and to the sides requiring treatments, everything needs to be checked, we have even found them in book spines and ring boxs within bedrooms, its not a 5 min rush job, or they will just come back................................
