Rodents can be detrimental to health and are a growing pest problem, the most important advise is that if you suspect that you have RATS in your garden, wear GLOVES for any garden works, especially if you have open wounds or cuts, rat urine can transmit weills disease and can be found in damp/water around thier habitat, such as wet grass, compost bins, moist soil etc...IT CAN KILL, so be diligent
